Villa Celtic travelled to Piltown. Two early goals set us on the back foot but with the game settled it remained this way until late when chasing goals Piltown caught us on the break a few times. 5-0 loss flattered Piltown after a dogged performance from our lads.

The premier trip to Ballinroad was called off with safety concerns put in place by Ballinroad. Game to be rescheduled.
Fourth Division
Our 4th Division got off with a winning start against Johnville. Clean sheet and two goals by John Waddell and David McCaffrey.

The Third Division travelled out to Seaview to begin their campaign. A 2-2 Result with goals from Mikey Nugent & Robert Ryan got points on the board.

Ferrybank were the visitors to Connors Park in a very competitive game. We took the lead through John Tamen before Ferrybank were awarded a penalty which was converted. We took all three points though after Aaron O Connor saw his 30 yard effort sail over the keepers head. Great result for the lads.

First game of the season for the lads against Tramore in Connors Park. We didn't get the start we wanted in the first half as we saw ourselves 3-0 down at half time but with an inspired team talk to lads came out and got four goals to claim all three points in a 4-3 win. Goals from Mark McManus, Conor Coad, Tadgh Kirby and Johnny McEvoy.
Youth B
We travelled to Crystal Park to play a well organized Waterford Crystal. It took a half hour to break them down as Callum Mcfadden rounded the keeper. From there we took control of the game and this allowed us to make changes. Callum McFadden completed a hattrick while Josh Hegarty bagged two, Conor Goff & Ben Kinsella completed off the scoring. Solid 7-0 victory for this young team.

Another tough defeat for this youth team against a strong Ballyduff. A slow start saw 5 goals within 20 minutes. Once settled in the second half it became a much more competitive game as we drew the second half 1-1. It is the early goals that killed this game. No doubt this group will continue to work hard and improve throughout the season. Well done to Ballyduff on a 8-1 victory.
