Villa FC Code of Conduct for Players

Players are expected to ensure the highest standard of behaviour is maintained at all times. Show respect to all coaching staff at all times.
Players are expected to treat team mates with respect, dignity and sensitivity. Players must not use inappropriate behaviour (bullying, harassment) towards team mates.
Always maintain the highest respect for officials, equipment, opposition and own team-mates.
Ensure the highest standard of work, attitude and commitment is maintained at all times.
Attend all coaching sessions and matches whenever possible.
Listen, Learn and show the right attitude to the Development Programme.
Work equally for yourself and your team. Remember your team’s performance will benefit, and so will you.

Villa FC Code of Conduct for Parents

Encourage their children and their team in a positive manner when attending coaching sessions and matches.
Positively encourage their children’s football education.
Applaud good play from both teams.
Refrain from offering coaching advice during coaching sessions and matches to players. Please leave this to the coaches.
Observe matches from the designated area. Where no area is designated, parents and guardians are required to observe matches from a reasonable distance from the touchline. This allows the coaches to work freely and without any disruption.
Refrain from dissent against officials and / or opposition teams at all times.
Ensure players are dropped off and collected at the agreed times for both coaching sessions and matches.
Attend seminars held by the club on any issue that affects the welfare of their children.

Return to Play Protocol

Prior to every training session it is imperative for all players and parents to ensure that players are medically fit to train and are not displaying any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (a fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell). If a player has illustrated any of these symptoms, then they must stay at home.
Similarly, if a player has been abroad in the last 14 days or in contact with/exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, then they must stay at home.
Players in what are deemed to be high risk categories should consult their medical practitioners about any potential risks prior to recommencing training.
Players/Parents must familiarise themselves with the COVID-19 protocols at Villa FC.
Players/Parents must ensure that the club have up to date contact details and information around relevant medical conditions prior to them returning to training.
Underage players must be dropped off to and collected from training by a member of the same household. Sharing of transport to and from training by members of different households should not happen.
Parents/Guardians must not remain at the venue during training, numbers at the training venue are strictly limited to players, coaches and the Club COVID Compliance Officer. If a parent/guardian needs to remain at the venue during training due to medical/other reasons, then they must ask to be incorporated in the allowed training numbers (currently a Maximum of 15 people at a training session including coaches/players).
Parents/Guardians and players must not congregate at the end of training, as there is a turnaround time of 15 minutes before the next training group will commence and the grounds should be vacated in advance of their arrival.
Players to arrive kitted out for training, changing rooms will not be available.
Please bring your own filled Water Bottles with your Name clearly labelled on the bottle. The club will not be supplying water bottles for training.
Goalkeepers must wear their own gloves.
Personal items must be labelled with the player’s name and not shared. Players must bring all personal items home with them.
Players must bring their own hand sanitiser and sanitise their hands regularly before, during and after training. Sanitising dispensers will also be located at a number of locations in the club grounds.
Please note that all training sessions must comply with Government guidance. At this point in time (PHASE 2 of Ireland’s Re-opening Roadmap), that means that Social Distancing of 2 metres must be observed and as such small sided games and matches within training are prohibited. Handling of footballs (other than by goalkeepers), handshaking, fist-bumping, and spitting are all also prohibited.
All training sessions will be designed to ensure that governmental advice will be adhered to.
All players are required to follow the advice of their coaches and the Club COVID Compliance Officer.
